My name is Rhonda Stones. I have wanted to be a teacher as long as I remember. When I was 4 or 5 years old, my mom said I would put all my stuffed animals in chairs and teach them to read. I loved it then and I love it now. It is such a blessing to do what you love for your job. I have taught for 31 years and I am beginning my 21st year at Hilton Head Christian Academy.
I have been married for 31 years to a wonderful man named Stan Stones and we have had four children: Jessica Stokes (married to Michael with daughter Sarah), Joshua Stones (married to Rachel with son Devin), Lawson Schmidt (married to David) and John-Taylor Stones (entering Liberty University in the Fall with majors in Visual Design and Youth Ministry).
I love reading, playing with my Grandbabies, music, teaching, cooking, and animals. I live in Hardeeville, and am the director of music in Garden City, Georgia at First Baptist there. I have a spoiled Pekingnese namd Princess Leia, a Maltipoohua (maltese/poodle/chihuahua) and 2 cats names Mr. T and P.
I came to know the Lord at the age of 8 in VBS in a little country church in North Carolina. Jesus has walked with me every step of the way throughout my life. I love Him passionately and I am so thankful that he choise to die on a cross for my sins. It is my desire that as I teach, that my children would see Him through me. He is the "Air that I breathe and the reason I exist".
